Privacy Policy

CAIJA is designed with privacy at its core. We process your data to deliver analysis results. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal information.

1. What We Collect

When you use CAIJA, we process the following data:

Resume content: The text extracted from your uploaded resume file (.txt, .pdf, or .docx) for analysis purposes only.
Job description text: The job posting you paste into the analysis form.
Account information: If you create an account: your email address and chosen tier (Basic, Standard, or Essential).

2. How We Use Your Data

To perform resume-to-job-description fit analysis and generate your report.
To provide scoring, gap analysis, and tailoring recommendations.
To improve the accuracy and quality of our analysis engine (aggregated, anonymized data only).

3. Data Retention

Starter Tier (No Account)

Your resume and job description are processed in memory and not stored after analysis completes. No persistent record is kept.

Authenticated Tiers (Basic / Standard / Essential)

Analysis results are stored in your account for history and comparison features. You can delete your analysis history at any time. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

Anonymized Outcome Analysis (Opt-In Only)

If you opt in to outcome tracking, CAIJA creates an anonymized copy of your analysis data to study what works and improve recommendations for all users.

What we strip: Your name, email address, phone number, physical address, and employer names are removed immediately when the anonymized copy is created. The anonymized record contains only the job title, job description (with employer names removed), fit scores, gap analysis, and recommendations.

Two-phase privacy model: While awaiting your feedback, the anonymized data is linked to your account via a temporary identifier so we can match your outcome response. Once you respond (or after 4 weeks of no response), this link is permanently and irreversibly deleted. After that point, there is no technical mechanism to reconnect the anonymized data to you.

Opt-out: You can opt out at any time from your Settings page. When you opt out, any pending (not yet severed) anonymized data is immediately deleted. Already-severed data cannot be attributed to you and remains in the anonymized dataset.

4. Third-Party Services

CAIJA uses the following third-party services to operate:

OpenAI: For AI-powered analysis. Resume and job description text is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Appwrite: For authentication and data storage for registered users.
DigitalOcean: For hosting and infrastructure.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store raw resume files on our servers. Only the extracted text is processed. Access to production systems is restricted and monitored.

6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Access: You can request a copy of any data we hold about you. For anonymized outcome data, you can view your pending (Phase 1) data before the identity link is severed. After severance, no data is attributable to you.
Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. For anonymized outcome data, deletion is honored during Phase 1 (before link severance). After Phase 2 severance, the data is fully anonymized and falls outside the scope of personal data under GDPR.
Correction: You can update your account information at any time.
Portability: You can export your analysis results.
Opt-out / Withdraw Consent: You can opt out of outcome tracking and anonymized analysis at any time from your Settings page. Opting out immediately deletes any pending pseudonymized data.
No Sale of Data (CCPA): CAIJA does not sell your personal information to third parties. Anonymized data is used internally only to improve our recommendations.

7. Cookies

CAIJA uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of CAIJA after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
